I think that the reliability of formations is not always constant. When you spot a structure or formation on a daily or weekly chart it is usually something that almost all investors know, because it is talked about, because it takes a long time to form and it penetrates deeper into the minds of investors. On the contrary, in very short-term formations, any news, comment, or macro data can produce an immediate reaction that more easily invalidates the structure on which you are basing your decisions.
