Both metrics are useful, but produce different signals. Like Bollinger Bands®, Keltner Channel signals are produced when price action crosses or breaks above channel bands. Here, however, when the price action crosses or breaches the upper and lower barriers, a continuation is favored over a retracement to the middle or opposite barrier.
